This Privacy Policy explains how Clickylearner ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our web application at clickylearner.com.

Information We Collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the service:

Account information — email address, password (hashed), and optional username when you create an account.
Uploaded files — PDFs and text files you upload for processing. These are processed immediately and deleted from our servers. We do not store the contents of your files.
Study data — flashcard sets, typing session results (WPM, accuracy, errors), and folders you create. This is stored to your account.
Usage data — basic session and error logs for debugging purposes.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Clickylearner service
To process your uploaded documents and generate AI study content
To save your flashcard sets, folders, and session history
To authenticate your account and maintain security

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase — authentication and database storage. Your account data is stored securely with Supabase. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
OpenAI — AI processing for flashcard generation and quizzes. Uploaded text is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Uploaded files are deleted immediately after processing.
Account data (flashcard sets, history) is retained until you delete your account.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Clickylearner is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
